Friday's venture

This past Friday we reconnected as district youth workers. Lots of new faces in our district and some that are missing which makes me sad. I always love these times as we sit together and fellowship but then just talk ministry together. You know, "What's happening in your ministry?, What's working for you?, What's not working for you?, How's the family doing?, etc." Not many districts do this, at least not to my knowledge, and this is what I think makes us such a close knit group. I care about the guys of our district and want them to succeed. One negative though, as much as I love pizza, I had WAYYYYYYY too much of it this week. I think I need to go somewhere that doesn't have pizza. Why is it as youth workers we always have pizza at our events? Kickoffs, meetings together, social times . . . I mean I know it's cheap but seriously, there has to be something else we can get other than pizza. Sheeessshhh. I think need to go to Pizzaholics anonymous. Maybe I'll see some of you there. Anyway, anyone else feel this way? Thoughts on a solution? Leave me a comment with some answers.

It's time for a Kickoff !!!!

We had our Fall Kickoff this past Wed. night here at NMC. It was a great time and we had the Preteens come down to join us. The energy in the room was amazing. My partner in crime, Jason "JT" Thompson, shared the vision for this fall with the students while myself and a few other leaders led a time of worship. As I reflect on last Wed. night it was amazing to me to watch both age groups worship their God together. We had some crazy fun in worship but then when we all sang together "How Great is Our God" it was almost as if the world stopped and we all felt His presence with us. Man, I excited about what this year holds. Check out some pictures below.
