5. Superchic[k] I know they've been around for a while but two songs I love hearing right now are "Princes & Frogs (Underdog Mix)". Someday I hope my daughter (that is, if and when I have one) will wait for that Prince that started as a Frog, like me : ). Hey if I can land a hot chick there's hope for everyone. Next would be "Hero:Red Pill Mix" - the song itself rocks my world everytime I listen to it but when the guys starts rapping I get chills at the impact of his words. 4. Hillsong UNITED This is one of my favorite worship bands out right now. Their latest album continues to grow on me. They need to keep pumping out more. Jordan Pearson introduced me to an older song of theirs this week, "The Reason I Live", it's so catchy but I love the words even more. 3. Stellar Kart These guys hooked me with their first album and single "Life Is Good" which I love to jam to on those rough days as a reminder. Their latest video for their song "Activate" really sums up for me 2 Cor. 5:17 for me when you have that first encounter with Christ, you're changed - I think, into a hipper and cooler you! Is 'hipper' even a cool word anymore?
2. Leeland A new up and coming band. What an amazing sound!!! If you haven't heard or seen their video for "Sound of Melodies" come by my office and I will enlighten you into the world of amazing and God lifting music. For such a young band they completely continue to amaze me everytime I listen to them. Thanks for your music fellas. I hope to meet you at the Cincinatti Youth Specialties Conference this November.
1. Hawk NelsonLast but not least . . . both Rose's and my own personal choice . . . drum roll please . . . HAWK NELSON !!! If you haven't heard these guys yet you must live on a different planet. They played the band "The Who" on the TV Show 'American Dreams' and then rocked out to "Bring 'Em Out" in the movie Yours, Mine and Ours. Whether you choose their first cd or their newest . . . you can't go wrong with this band. Check them out!!!
Well, those are my Top 5 at this point in time. What's yours?
