Long Overdue

Sunday, March 11, 2007

Well, this post is long overdue. I'm trying to prioritize more current updates in my week. Lots of things have happened since my last post. I'll try to update more later. I just felt impressed to share a few things from the last few days.

1. My beautiful wife and I are going to be parents!!!!! We are expecting our first child in July. I'm calling in recruits for prayer support now. Those that want to sign up just post a comment letting me know. This is for Rose, myself and the baby but if it ends up being a girl you can just switch that prayer support my way! We also have moved temporarily to a rental house in Nappanee (that's right - Amish buggies and horse poop galore) and we're renting our house in Mishawaka to some Bethel students.

2. Taxes - I HATE TAXES!!!!! However, Rose and I have a great tax consultant named Sherri who is incredible. She takes care of us as if we were her kids and she's great to have on your side. She's always look for a way to save us money.

3. Great Friends - While Rose and I were in the area of Ft. Wayne we were able to hang out with some friends of ours from college (Bethel). We haven't seen them for about a year but man, we laughed so hard and were able to pick up as if we saw them last week. I love both of them so much. Gary and Joy are an inspiration to me. So much fun to be around and you can tell that they love each other. They're trying to sell there home so if you think of it say a prayer for them.

4. What I'm listening to - Over the last few days I've been re-acquainted with a Tim Hughes song called 'Everything'. Such an amazing song. The words ring right to my soul along with a song my good friend Jeremiah has been leading in our Connection services 'Happy Day'. When the words and music are as good as they are in this song, it's too hard not to smile and praise the Lord. Check them out at this site under their new Jukebox feature: http://www.worshiptogether.com/

Until I can update more . . . Enjoy the day of the Lord . . . rest, worship, love those around you!!!
