Great friends and great times in Grand Rapids

Monday, May 14, 2007

I'm here sitting in a room with at the Amway Grand with some of my favorite people to be around with next to my wife (and baby) and students . . . fellow youth workers. We're up here talking about 3DYC, an event that has changed my life. Who's in the room? My main man-Derry P., Bogeybt, Matt Ransom and Bartles Seth. We're talking youth ministry, hanging out and eating some pizza. I love times like this.

Yesterday Rose and I made our way up to Grand Rapids to be here for my meeting but stopped in to visit Mars Hill (a lot different than what I expected) and hanging with my old youth group friend, Lauren (her and I have been through a lot together) she's awesome and I love her - and her boyfriend, Eric. I'm excited for her. She really happy. I love times catching up with her especially since it's been so long.

Don't neglect good friends and times of discussion like this. I think this is a lot like the times Jesus had with his disciples. It's in times like this where you can share your heart about many topics and speak openly with one another. Savor these moments.
