As skeptical as we were Rose and I walked away thinking several things:
1. Yes, there was still Christian overtones and words that only church goers might understand.
2. It had several corny moments in it.
3. There was some really good humor in it.
4. It was good to see Mikey Seaver back on the screen. Had he not made the decisions that he did for his faith I think he had some long standing Tom Hanks characteristics and qualities with his acting career.
5. The message was great . . . whether you're dating someone, engaged to someone, married to someone or thinking about ending your marriage/relationship. This is a must see movie. It makes you truly think about how much you LOVE someone other than yourself. It showed LOVE as we read it should be in 1 Corinthians 13.
Overall for a Christian movie with a low budget I'd give it an A.
Matching it up to it's Hollywood counterparts I'd say maybe an A- or B+ but I think all in all anyone who watches this movie will at least have to stop and think.
