Last night, Pastor Chris talked about the Leaning Tower of Pisa. This is one of the wonders of the world because of its ability to stay leaning and yet not fall. But it still is not used for anything but tourism because it's builders did not build it on a firm foundation; they built it on a weak foundation. Last night, Chris challenged us to have a firm foundation that is on solid rock.
Read this passage and give us some of your thoughts on how this connects to Jesus teaching in Matthew 7?
So how do you know that your foundation is rock and not sand? What do you do to make sure that you know you are His?
Can't wait to hear some responses from you! Including your names!

The passage is talking about how God is and should be our foundation. Not ourselves. It also talks about since now we are followers of god that we need to turn away from evil to keep our foundation from having weak spots.
I know my foundation is like a rock because ever since i was saved i have been building it on the lord. It has helped me to stay strong when hardships come. Although i do have a few weak spots which i am trying to fix.
One way i make sure i know i am his is by examining myself and chekcking to see if i have given any of myself away to the devil. I also am trying to do what God is telling me and i am trying to be a man after his heart.

I know that my foundation is rock & not sand. I can honestly say that I fully trust the Lord, in everything. He provides me with the strength to get through each day & the joy to enjoy it. No matter what kind of curveballs life may throw at me, I know that Jesus will always get me through & that he'll never leave me. I surrender all that I am, all that I have, & all that life throws my way to Him.
